Who we are
Life on the homestead
We are Katy and Adam, a husband and wife team rooted in the beautiful landscape of Whatcom County, Washington. Our days are shaped by the rhythm of the seasons, the needs of our animals, and the steady satisfaction of growing things from the ground up.
Our garden produces a wide and ever-changing variety of vegetables throughout the year, and our property is alive with the company of over 30 chickens, 6 ducks, two hardworking mouser cats, a beloved 16-year-old indoor cat, and three cheerful birds. Each one has a role to play, and each one reminds us why we chose this life.

Why Farmstander
Built from personal experience
For years, discovering a roadside farm stand felt like a happy accident. There was no reliable way to find them, no map to guide you, no way to know what was in season nearby. We stumbled across our favorites purely by luck, and we knew others were too.
As farm stand owners ourselves, we also knew what it felt like to work hard for tight margins. That experience shaped everything about how we built Farmstander.
Our goal is to create the most feature-rich platform available, giving every farm stand the tools, resources, and exposure they deserve. We are committed to keeping pricing as low as possible, because we know firsthand how much every dollar matters.
Our community
Rooted in agricultural tradition
Whatcom County has deep roots in agriculture and dairy, with multigenerational family farms that have shaped this region for over a century. We are proud to be part of that community, not just as homesteaders, but as co-operators of a local farmers market, working closely with the vendors and growers who keep that tradition alive. That connection to the people growing and selling food is what drives everything we build at Farmstander.

20 years in business
I have been a business owner for over 20 years.
